Flexible surf trips
Our Northland surf trip takes you to some of the region’s most epic beaches, each chosen for its unique waves and stunning scenery. From the fun, consistent surf at Taupo Bay and Rarawa Beach, to the legendary breaks of Shipwreck Bay and Ahipara, every spot offers an unforgettable session. You’ll also explore quieter gems like Henderson Bay, with our base camp set at the beautiful Coopers Beach.
One of the best parts of this trip is the flexibility—our experienced surf coaches assess the conditions daily to choose the best beach and activity for the day. This means not all beaches or adventures listed will be included, but every day is tailored for the best possible experience.
All surfboards and wetsuits are provided, but you're welcome to bring your own gear if you prefer. Outside the surf, we’ll also make time for epic adventures like the Te Paki Sand Dunes, Cape Reinga, smoothstar skate sessions, volleyball games and evening sunset surfs — if the conditions are right.

Northland, New Zealand offers the perfect setting for our surf trips – with stunning beaches, warm water, and a relaxed coastal vibe. Known for its natural beauty and consistent waves, it's an ideal destination for young surfers to build confidence, develop skills, and enjoy unforgettable adventures with friends.
Our accommodation is based at beautiful Coopers Beach, and throughout the trip, we’ll surf at some of Northland’s most iconic beaches – including Taupo Bay, Parawa Beach, Ahipara, Shipwreck Bay, and Henderson Bay. Alongside daily surf sessions, the trip includes exciting sightseeing adventures like visiting the Te Paki Sand Dunes, exploring Cape Reinga, and catching evening waves during unforgettable sunset surfs.
It’s a unique opportunity to experience everything Northland has to offer – both in and out of the water.

Whether it's your first time on a board and you're looking to have fun with friends while exploring Northland's stunning beauty, or you're an advanced surfer eager to perfect your technique with video analysis and expert guidance, we've got you covered. Our experienced instructors will tailor the experience to suit your needs, ensuring everyone, from beginners to seasoned surfers, gets the most out of every session.

Sleeping bag and pillow
Food and ingredients for meals – students are responsible for bringing their own food. We'll guide and support them with cooking, and stop at supermarkets daily for any food purchases
Plenty of energy – this surf trip is full of fun, adventure, and good times!
Own Surf board and Wetsuit is optional (the team at Sky’s Surf School have a full range of suits and boards for our surfers to use however if you have your own gear feel free to bring this along instead !!)
